In their second-straight Sub-State championship game, the Fort Scott High School Lady Tigers’ season ended with a 49-41 loss to SEK rival Labette County in a Class 2A Sub-State championship matchup Friday night in Altamont.

The Lady Tigers (17-5) got out to a hot start early, taking an 11-5 lead after the first quarter. But a 15-0 run by Labette in the second quarter, some offensive slumps for key Fort Scott players and foul troubles led to the Lady Grizzlies (18-4) grabbing the lead in the second quarter and controlling the tempo throughout.
