Rev. Arthur Large

Rev. Arthur Large died Jan. 19, 2022. Arthur was 79. He was retired and made his home in Texas for many years. He moved to Pryor, Okla. In 2019 and lived with his sister. Artie was a member of the Pryor Creek Baptist Church and very active within the church. He served the Lord all his life. He knew he would be a preacher by age 4. He would stand on a chair and preach. Artie spread his love for God to all he met and never knew a stranger.

Arthur attended the Arlington Bible Baptist College in Arlington, Texas, after graduating from the Ft. Scott High School. He was oprdained in Fort Scott, Kan.

He was married to Rebecca Alexander for over 38 years. Rebecca preceded him July 2015.

He was born May 21, 1942, in Fort Scott, Kan. to Vern and Opal Large.

Survivors are six children and spouses, 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild of Texas, nieces and nephews that loved him and will miss him, two siblings, a sister Jeanie Heckman of Pryor, Okla., and one brother, Robert Large of Chesapeake, Va.

Arthur "Artie" will be missed deeply by all who loved and knew him. "Fly High Brother."
