Leslie "Scott" Smith

Leslie “Scott” Smith, 40, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Scott was born Dec. 15, 1980 in Joplin, Mo., to Steven L. and Pamela J. (Rayburn) Smith.

Scott was raised in the Bronaugh area. He graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1999. For the past four years he has resided in Fort Scott.

Survivors include his mother, Pamela, of the home; two sisters, Christine Martinez, Fort Scott, and Heather Durosette (Mike), Nevada, Mo.; nephew and nieces, Logan Smith, Fort Scott, Colton Lambott, Nevada, Mo., Cameron Smith, Fort Scott, Haley Smith, Nevada, Mo.; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven L. Smith.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
