Clinton Thomas Newby
Clinton Thomas Newby, age 56, of St. Louis (Wildwood), Mo., passed away on June 23, 2021.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1965, in Independence, Mo., but later moved to the Schell City and Nevada, Mo., areas. He graduated from Nevada High School with the class of 1983, where he played football, wrestled and was part of the infamous “Brothers’ Pig” group.
Clint graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1988 and was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He spent his professional career in sales where he was said to be a “top producer with an outstanding leadership record.”
Clint is survived by his beloved daughter, Caroline Newby, New York City; his parents, Tom and Joyce Newby, Nevada, Mo.; Blanche and Danny Williams, Nevada, Mo.; brothers Russell (Mary) Newby, Republic, Mo.; Waylon (Gayla) Balk, Walker, Mo.; sisters Charlotte (Billy) Moody, Joplin, Mo.; Tera (Jason) Elliott, Erie, Kan.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and stepfather, Terry Balk.
Clint will be remembered for his love of the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and hunting migratory birds, but above all, the love and pride he had for his daughter.
Services will be held at the Pathfinder Church, formerly St. John’s Church, just outside of St. Louis on Wednesday, June 30 at 1 p.m. The address is 15800 Manchester Rd., Ellisville, MO, 63011. A reception will follow at the Lake Chesterfield Clubhouse, where Clint enjoyed his summers by the pool, beginning at 2 p.m. and located at 150 Waterside Dr., Grover, MO 63040.
