Commission hears history on sales taxes

Fort Scott City Commissioners got a history lesson on sales tax Tuesday night.

Director of Finance Susan Bancroft provided commissioners with a breakdown of the city’s current sales taxes and their purposes, as well as the history of sales taxes in Bourbon County through the use of a PowerPoint presentation that includes graphs, charts and research on the topic.
