Tigers' win streak ends at 10

The Fort Scott Tiger varsity baseball team’s 10-game winning streak was snapped in an 11-3 loss to the Tonganoxie Chieftains Friday night at Dave Regan Stadium.

Tonganoxie jumped out to a 3-0 lead early, but the Tigers (10-8) quickly tied the game, 3-3 in the third before the Chieftains’ five runs in the fourth broke open the game. Tonganoxie would go on to score two runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth while holding the Tigers scoreless.

The Chieftains outhit the Tigers 14-5. Each team recorded one error.
