Rock for roads in wind project debated in commission room

Discussion during a portion of Tuesday’s Bourbon County Commission meeting centered on the type of rock to be used on county roads for the Jayhawk Wind energy project.
Patrick Clift, representing Nelson Quarries, a Bourbon County business, talked to commissioners about the type of rock the company produces. He said he learned county officials had decided to go with a different material for the wind farm project.
