Researching cost of city sewer line crew

After a lengthy debate and three motions, Fort Scott City Commissioners Tuesday night elected to move forward with researching a plan to complete repair work on sanitary sewer lines using city crews rather than contracting the work to an outside company.

The discussion came on the heels of a Jan. 15 work session in which Public Utilities Director Michael Mix and Public Works Director Chad Brown provided commissioners with reports on their plans for rehabbing water and sewer lines in 2020.
