County commissioners contemplate courthouse security officer position

Bourbon County Commissioners on Tuesday tabled a motion to create a security personnel position for the third floor of the Bourbon County Courthouse.

Commission Chairman Lynne Oharah made a motion for a 5-minute executive session to discuss courthouse security that would include commissioners, County Counselor Justin Meeks and Bourbon County District Judge Mark Ward. The session was to include Bourbon County Sheriff Bill Martin, but Martin declined to participate.
