Hounds nip Highland in season opener

The Fort Scott Community College Greyhound football team kicked off its 2019 season with a 20-16 win over Highland Community College Saturday night at Frary Field.

The Greyhounds (1-0 overall, 1-0 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference) led 14-6 at halftime. The Scotties (0-1, 0-1) closed the gap somewhat in the third quarter, outscoring FSCC 10-6 in that period, but the Hounds held on for the win.
