More than a math teacher

UNIONTOWN — For many of Alan Shinn’s former colleagues and students, he was more than a math teacher.

Shinn, who retired May 17 after a 50-year career teaching in USD 235, was honored during a retirement reception Sunday, May 26, at West Bourbon Elementary School. Several speakers turned out to honor Shinn for his five decades of service.
