Tables full of clothes and a variety of household items were ready for shoppers in front of the First Baptist Church, 123 Scott Ave., as part of the first day of the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Town-wide Garage Sale on Friday.

City-wide garage sales and the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta Swap Meet began Friday and continue today. The swap meet is being held at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds. A guide for garage sales was published in Wednesday's edition of the Tribune.
