Stags crush Lady Tigers 72-12

The No. 1 seeded Shawnee Mission-Bishop Miege Stags (20-0) trounced the No. 16 seeded Fort Scott High School Lady Tigers (4-18) 72-12 in a girls’ substate matchup Thursday night, ending the season for the Lady Tigers.

The Stags hosted the Lady Tigers, who committed 39 turnovers in the contest and struggled continuously on defense against the undefeated Stags, who have won four of the last five state titles.

The game was part of the Sub-State No. 1 quadrant of the KSHSAA Class 4A Sub-State girls basketball tournament, which continues through tonight.
