Uniontown rolls on Homecoming
UNIONTOWN — Ty Davidson threw for 218 yards and four touchdowns here Friday night as Uniontown rolled by Northeast, 52-12, in Three Rivers League action on Homecoming night.
“We executed tonight within our schemes,” Eagles head coach Jeremy Neville said. “The energy and excitement was back. We had several players have very good individual performances, but the team was better at overcoming adversity tonight. We are getting better every time out, but the penalties are still hurting us.”
The Eagles (1-2, 1-2) beat the Vikings for the eight consecutive time as Davidson completed 10 of 17 passes. Hayden Miller had 5 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Jez Simpson caught 2 for 70 yards, both for TD’s.
Uniontown was also strong on the ground as Andrew Reed ran for 139 yards on 16 carries and scored once. Davidson added 85 yards on the ground and 3 rushing touchdowns.
Reed led the defense with 11 tackles. Nick Hathaway made 9 tackles and recorded 2 sacks. Reed, Davidson and Chance Fuhrman each had interceptions.
Uniontown travels to Lyndon next Friday night.
