Northeast home opener moved to Monday

ARMA — Northeast football’s home opener has been postponed until 6 p.m. Monday night at Samuel J. Nicoletti Field due to travel concerns on the part of Yates Center, the scheduled opponent.

Northeast Athletic Director Piper Richardson said that Yates Center did not wish to travel because it had started to flood there and school officials were concerned that they would not be able to get everyone back home.

Northeast head coach Phil Hobbs told his team to report for practice at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon to prepare for the game.
