Vikings fall to Blu-Jays

PLEASANTON — Pleasanton went out to a 14-0 lead after one period and made it hold up here Friday night as Northeast fell in its season opener, 42-14, in Three Rivers League play.

Karter Dugan passed for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Vikings, completing 7 of 26 passes. Nathan Boswell caught 3 passes for 60 yards and a score and Tejay Cleland hauled in 2 passes for 26 yards and the other Northeast TD.

Dugan led the Vikings in rushing as well with 36 yards on 7 carries.

Kenneth Atchison led Northeast on defense with 16 tackles. Thomas Cronister added 11 tackles while Brayden Broyles and Hunter Jackson each had 10.

Northeast plays its home opener Friday night against Yates Center.
