Eagles fall to Southeast in opener
UNIONTOWN — Southeast scored twice in the fourth quarter here Friday night and won its inaugural Three Rivers League football contest, 20-6, over Uniontown in both team’s season opener.
Quarterback Ty Davidson scored the Eagles’ lone touchdown. He rushed for 68 yards and threw for 77. Andrew Reed ran for 82 yards and made 10 tackles. Davidson and Hayden Miller had 9 stops each.
“We did not play disciplined, physical, aggressive football,” Uniontown head coach Jeremy Neville said. “Southeast is much improved and we knew they would be. We did a lot of things that we have not shown in practice. I am not sure why, but we abandoned attention to detail and did things that we know we are not supposed to do. I hope I can figure out a better way to coach these guys going forward.”
Southeast broke a 28-game losing streak. The Lancers’ last victory was over Northeast on Oct. 10, 2014.
