Cynthia Sue Weece of Miami, Okla., passed from this life Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 at her home. She was 70.

Cynthia was born Feb. 10, 1948 in Webster City, Iowa, to Floyd and Mary (Bosworth) Wood. She had lived in Miami since 1989, moving from Lawton, Okla. Cynthia and husband Leon pastored First Christian Church in Miami and Afton. She graduated from Campbell High School in Campbell, Calif., in 1965 and attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Mo. She belonged to various quilting organizations and was very active in church functions and activities.

Cynthia married Leon Weece July 14, 1967 in Campbell, Calif., and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons, Jason Weece and wife Kim of Springfield, Va., Adam Weece and wife Erin of Garland, Texas, and Brent Weece and wife Emily of Edmond, Okla., one daughter Karen Wood and husband Brent of Rohnert Park, Calif., her brother Ken Wood of Tonawanda, N.Y., two sisters Katherine Gray, Neosho, Mo., and Nancy Lane of Carterville, Mo., and 10 grandchildren Hannah, Kate, Jenna, Bethany, Caleb, Lucas, Piper, Lily, Graham and Hunter.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Miami, Okla. Pastor Leon Weece and Pastor Jared Joslin will officiate. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Jason Weece, Adam Weece, Brent Weece, Brent Wood, Caleb Wood, Lucas Wood, Graham Weece and Steve Hudspeth will serve as pallbearers.
