’Hounds sweep Ottawa JV
OTTAWA — Fort Scott Community College’s baseball team swept the Ottawa University junior varsity here Monday by scores of 9-0 and 11-0.
With the sweep, the Greyhounds improved to 21-3 on the season, the fastest the Tribune has in its records (since 1998) that Fort Scott has reached 20 wins. Last year’s team got its 20th victory in its 25th game and the 2016 team got win No. 25 in game 26.
There’s only one other season on record in which Fort Scott baseball has recorded its 20th victory before playing its 30th game, 2007.
