Eagles swept on road in league play

MOUND CITY — Host Jayhawk-Linn swept Uniontown in a Three Rivers League doubleheader here Tuesday night.

Jayhawk-Linn won the girls’ game, 49-17. Karleigh Schoenberger scored 8 points and had 6 rebounds for the Eagles (1-3 TRL, 2-10 overall).

Jayhawk boys won 56-34 after building a 17-7 lead after one period. Ben George led Unoiontown (2-2, 4-8) with 16 points and Jez Simpson added 12

Both Jayhawk-Linn teams have 4-1 league records and 7-4 overall marks.

Uniontown will host Crest in a Three Rivers League doubleheader Friday night.
