11 area players receive TRL honors

The Three Rivers League has released its All-Upper Division (11-man) football team. Six players from Uniontown’s team and five from Northeast received honors.

Uniontown quarterback Ty Davidson and running back Andrew Reed were selected for the First Team offense as was Northeast receiver Ethan Balk and tackle Kamryn O’Dell. Davidson threw for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushed for 253 and 4 scores. Reed rushed for 678 yards and 6 touchdowns for Uniontown this season. Balk caught 14 passes for 37 yards and rushed 24 times for 384 yards and 2 TDs.

Davidson was also chosen as a First Team defensive back while Reed was named as a linebacker. Uniontown’s Nick Hathaway was chosen as a defensive lineman and Gavin Fry was picked at linebacker. Chad O’Banion of Northeast was also named at linebacker.

Hathaway was chosen as a guard on the Honorable Mention offense and teammate Ty Griffiths was picked at Tackle and on the defensive line. Hayden Miller was selected as a defensive end.

Northeast players on the Honorable Mention list include Balk at defensive back, Karter Dugan at quarterback and Hunter Jackson as a defensive lineman. Dugan threw for 745 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Vikings and also rushed for 310 yards and 5 scores.
