Six ’Hounds named to All-KJCCC football teams

Six members of Fort Scott Community College’s football team were honored Tuesday by the Jayhawk Conference.

There were no Greyhounds named to the All-Jayhawk Conference First Team. Edward Aldred was named to the Second Team as a receiver and quarterback Dalton Sneed was selected for the Honorable Mention list.

Defensively, defensive tackle Daeqwan Bailey, defensive end Jeffery Keene, and cornerback Elmore Hempstead were named to the Second Team and linebacker Dominic Cizauskas was named Honorable Mention.

Fort Scott High School graduate Brody Southwell was named to the Honorable Mention list as both a punter and a kicker.

Independence’s Jason Brown was chosen as Coach of the Year for leading the Pirates to their first conference title since 1977. Garden City quarterback Terry Wilson, a transfer from Oregon, was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Linebacker Vernon Dasher of Coffeyville was selected for the honor of Defensive Player of the Year.
