Northeast football drops district opener

ARMA — Northeast football opened up Class 3A District 6 play here Friday night with a 44-8 loss to Three Rivers League rival Jayhawk-Linn. No details were available as this report was prepared. The Tribune anticipates having the information in time for Wednesday's edition.

The Vikings fell to 0-1 in the district, 0-4 in the league and 0-7 overall. They will travel to Erie Friday night. The Red Devils (0-1 district, 1-6 overall) lost their district opener to Tri Valley League rival Humboldt, 38-0. The Cubs (1-0, 6-1) will face the TRL champion Jayhawks (1-0, 4-0, 6-1) Friday as well.
