Northeast falls to Oswego in league play
ARMA — Oswego held a 28-16 halftime lead here Friday night and made it hold up for a 34-28 win over Northeast in Three Rivers League play.
Nathan Boswell rushed for 98 yards on 13 carries, caught 3 passes for 24 yards and returned 3 kickoffs for 69 yards. He also scored a second-quarter rushing touchdown that put the Vikings (0-3 TRL, 0-5 overall) ahead at the time, 16-13. However, Oswego (1-1, 1-4) scored twice to take a 28-16 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Kater Dugan passed for 72 yards as he completed 8 of 13 passes. He also scored two rushing touchdowns. Ethan Balk caught 2 passes for 19 yards, one for a score.
Balk, Kamryn O’Dell, Thomas Cronister and Chad O’Banion each made 8 tackles for the Vikings. Kalin Griffin was in on 7 tackles. The Vikes had 4 sacks with Cronister, O’Banion, Balk and Hunter Jackson each getting one.
Northeast goes on the road Friday night to take on former CNC foe Baxter Springs.
