UNIONTOWN — Visiting Olpe scored 28 points in the first quarter Friday night and went on to a 55-0 win over Uniontown to spoil Homecoming for the Eagles.

Andrew Reed gained 32 yards rushing on 7 plays, caught a pass for 13 yards and had 78 yards on returns. But the Eagles (2-3) as a team were held to 41 yards rushing and 54 yards of total offense.

Olpe (3-2) gained 291 rushing yards on 38 carries and also passed for 211 yards.

Ty Davidson led the Uniontown defense with 15 tackles. Gavin Fry had 11 stops.

Uniontown will host Shawnee Maranatha Academy this coming Friday night. Maranatha will have a much smaller roster than last season as the other school it had a co-op with, Leavenworth Immaculata, was closed at the end of the last school year. In fact, Maranatha will move from Class 3A to eight-man football next season.
