Almost as cool as the siren

Tim Harper during the Community Children’s Fair Youngsters were able to check out the inside of local emergency response vehicles, and even set off the sirens, during the free event. Lewis is the grandson of David and Debbie Lewis of Fort Scott.

Fort Scott Community College hosted its annual Community Children’s Fair Saturday on the college campus. The free event featured a variety of activities for children of all ages, including carnival games, minute-to-win-it games, a bounce house, a teddy bear clinic offers by the FSCC Student Nursing Organization, hair styling by FSCC cosmetology students, and activities with the Fort Scott police and fire departments. Gizmo the Greyhound, the college’s mascot, was also present for children.
