Patricia B. Cook

Patricia B. Cook, resident of Redfield, Kan., died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, Kan. She was born on March 30, 1946, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Fred and Julia Brennan Wunderly. She graduated from Fort Scott High School with the class of 1964. Pat started working for K&K Auto that same year, working for over 50 years until her health declined. She battled cancer 15 months to the day of her passing. She married Bobby Cook on Nov. 14, 1968, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1985. She was a 4-H sponsor and livestock buyer. To all who knew her, she will always be "Aunt Pat."
Survivors include Ben Mitchell of the home; one sister, Barbara Schmidt, Fort Scott; six brothers, Lawrence Wunderly and wife Linda, Mound City, Kan., Mike Wunderly, Devon, Kan., Dan Wunderly and wife Stephanie, Redfield, Kan., Don Wunderly and wife Peggy, Fort Scott, Ron Wunderly and wife Kathy, Fort Scott, and Joe Wunderly and wife Marsha, Fulton, Kan.; grandchildren Will Wunderly, Carson Wunderly, Jewell Endicott, and Jack Endicott; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a niece, Julie Lemmon, a brother-in-law Raymond Schmidt, an aunt, Barbara Brennen; and her parents.
Father Robert Wachter will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Dayton Cemetery, Devon, Kan. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cheney Witt Chapel. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to either St. Mary's Catholic School or Care to Share and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
