Riverton ousts Tigers, 1-0

Tenth-seeded Riverton upset Fort Scott High School's soccer team, 1-0, at Ellis Park Monday afternoon, ending the Tigers' season at 3-14 in the first round of the Class 4-3-2-1A East Regional No. 2 Tournament.

The lone goal was scored by Riverton's Travis Comer in the 54th minute when he knocked one in from the right side of the net.

The Tigers, had two chances to even things up in the final 17 minutes. Logan Hall set up Mannie Gonzales in the 63rd minute but the ball went out of Gonzales' reach. David Brown lofted one just over the goal in the 77th minute.

Riverton, 2-14-1, had lost both regular-season meetings to the Tigers.
