Pittsburg takes two from FSMS

PITTSBURG -- Fort Scott Middle School's football teams were swept by Pittsburg here Thursday evening. The seventh-grade team lost 35-0 and the eighth grade fell 24-12.
The seventh-graders (2-2) got 50 yards rushing on 7 carries from Kolby Shoemaker and 49 yards on 12 rushes from Scott Tome.
The eighth-grade team (1-2-1) saw Malachi Vann complete 5 of 10 passes for 83 yards and rush for a touchdown. Jamar Franks ran for 65 yards and a TD on 12 carries.
The Tigers will be at home Thursday night for a doubleheader against Altamont at Frary Field.
