Eighth-grade A team wins two of three

Fort Scott Middle School volleyball hosted a dual for its A teams on Saturday and played Monday at Parsons with all four of its teams.

On Saturday, the seventh-grade A team defeated Frontenac, 25-22, 25-17, but lost to Pittsburg, 25-19, 23-25, 15-12. The eighth-grade A team lost to Frontenac, 24-26, 25-13, 16-14, and beat Pittsburg, 25-23, 27-29, 16-14.

Monday, the seventh-grade B team (5-1-1) lost for the first time this season, falling to Parsons 21-25, 25-21, 15-9. The seventh-grade A team (6-4) also lost, 25-16, 25-18.

The eighth-grade B team (5-1-1) swept Parsons, 25-11, 25-18. The eighth-grade A team (8-2) pulled off a 25-12, 25-17 sweep.

The eighth-grade A team will play in a tournament in Pittsburg on Saturday. Both A teams will play at home against El Dorado Springs Monday.
