Nancy Sue Marcum

Nancy Sue Marcum, age 65, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was born March 10, 1951, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Floyd Andrew Leonard and Lucille Mills Leonard. Nancy had worked in area pre-schools and daycare facilities for many years.

Survivors include her four children, Andrewla Marcum, of Fort Scott, John Marcum and wife, Heather, of Fort Scott, Derrick Marcum and wife, Shanti, of Rock Hill, S.C. and Chad Marcum of Fort Scott; four grandchildren, Aidan, Wyatt, Reina and Grady Marcum. Also surviving are two brothers, Ronnie Leonard and Randy Leonard, both of Augusta, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorthy Shurley.

Following cremation, Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m.. Wednesday at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Private burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
