William "Bill" Faulhaber
William "Bill" Faulhaber, age 90, resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Presbyterian Village, Fort Scott. He was born June 13, 1925, in Fort Scott, the son of William and Ollie Post Faulhaber. He graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1943. He married Martha Babbitt on April 25, 1947, in Fulton, Kan. Bill worked as an operation foreman for KP&L, retiring in 1987 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and refinishing furniture. He loved camping and was a member of the Old Forter's Camping Club and Retiree's Camping Club. He was a member of Local No. 304 IBEW Electrical Union.
Survivors include his wife Martha of the home; a son, David Faulhaber, Mapleton, Kan.; a daughter, Joyce Wilkins and husband David, Bronson, Kan.; a sister, Wilma Wishart, El Dorado, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Lutz; and a half-sister, Opal Orrison.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April, 22, in St. Michaels Cemetery, Fulton, Kan. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to either the Fulton community Center or American Diabetes Association and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, 201 S. Main St., Fort Scott, KS 66701.
