Steve Wanasek
Steve Wanasek died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at the Earlene Howard Hospice Home in Springdale. He was born March 26, 1940 in Hutchinson, Kan., to Lora Isobel Stevens and James Key McGonigle.
He was a retired pilot, having owned Wanasek Aerial Spraying in Caldwell, Kan., as well as flying corporately and charter.
He was predeceased by his parents and his stepfather Carl Wanasek.
Survivors include wife Sandra of the home; son Scott (Jill Brown) Wanasek of Rogers, daughter Aimee (Destry) Forcum of Kingman, Kan., daughter Amy (Richard) Fourt of Rogers, and son Daniel (Ashley Stephens) Lawson of Warrensburg, Mo.; grandchildren Natalee and Alec Wanasek, Gunner and Gabriella Forcum, Drew Rogers, Madeline Fourt, Emma Lawson, Valarie and Brandon Fenton and Sarah Fourt; a sister Carla (A.J.) Feldman of Topeka, Kan., and niece Rachel (Seth) Katz of Kansas City.
He requested there be no memorial service. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 13, 1 to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 307 W. Elm St., Rogers.
