Eagle girls finish 5th, boys 4th

PLEASANTON -- Shalina Harper scored 32 points here Saturday afternoon as Uniontown's girls defeated Pleasanton, 49-46, in the fifth-place game of the Pleasanton Mid-Season Tournament.

Uniontown (6-6) outscored Pleasanton 24-9 in the second quarter, giving it a 33-32 lead. That was good enough to hold off the Blu-Jays (7-5), who outscored the Eagles 25-16 in the second half.

Sydney Dent led Pleasanton with 25 points.

Uniontown's boys (7-5) lost to Oswego in the third-place game, 59-41. Garrett Elder led the Eagles with 13 points.
