Indy take two from FSMS 8th graders

Independence won both eighth-grade games against Fort Scott Middle School in girls' basketball action at Buck Run Community Center Monday night.

The "B" team lost 16-12. Independence outscored the Tigers 4-0 in the first quarter. Alexis Rusk scored 8 points and had 6 rebounds for Fort Scott. Macayla McClure also had 6 rebounds.

Indy won the "A" game, 31-12. The Bulldogs led 15-5 at the half. Kenady Poyner had 7 points and 6 rebounds for the Tigers.

No report was available for the seventh-grade games.

The Tigers play Tuesday at Nevada.
