Mary Nadine Condos,
84, passed away on Nov. 21 in Castle Rock, Colo., with her family by her side after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born on July 31, 1931 in Fort Scott, Kan., to Leona and Orval Howard. Nadine grew up on a farm where she had fond memories of her one-legged chicken and three-legged pet goat. Nadine attended a one-room schoolhouse and often rode her horse to school. She was active in 4-H and her high school drama club. Nadine graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1949 and Kansas State University in 1953.

She worked as a county extension agent in Kansas. She married Theodore Harry Condos in 1958 in Fredonia, Kan.
The couple moved to Colorado in 1964 and lived in the communities of Sterling, Boulder, Fort Collins, Broomfield, and Cheyenne, Wyo. The couple lived for over 40 years in Fort Collins, Colo. Nadine was active in the Women's Guild at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and PTA. She was also active in Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, serving as cookie chairman for many years. She enjoyed the fellowship of her PEO sisters in Fort Collins. She worked for a few years at Pioneer Printing in Cheyenne, Wyo., and enjoyed selling Avon for many years. Her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. She enjoyed camping with her family, sewing and crafts and traveling to Alaska and Hawaii. Her travels also included cruises to Mexico, Turkey and Greece. 


She is survived by her husband Theodore H Condos of Castle Rock, Colo., daughters Cathy Oly of Colorado Springs, Colo., Theresa Averill of Chandler, Ariz., Debbie Gray of Littleton, Colo., and son Christopher Condos of Woodland Park, Colo. Her grandchildren are Jayme Jerdee of Gilbert, Ariz., Alex Averill of Chandler, Ariz., Max Averill of Minot, N.D., Emily Gray and Mason Gray of Littleton, Colo. Great-grandchildren are Jaydon and Jocelyn Nadine Jerdee of Gilbert, Ariz.


Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the New Hope Presbyterian Church at 2 pm.
