Fort Scott High golfers competed in a varsity meet at Pittsburg Tuesday while JV golfers competed in Uniontown's home tournament at Fort Scott on Monday.

In the varsity tournament, Camiren Defebaugh shot 51 on the front nine and 49 on the back to finish with a score of 100. That score tied for 15th place.

"Had she not found her way into the hazards around the course, she would have easily shot in the low 90's," Fort Scott head coach Karen Curran said.

addie McCoy shot 62-60--122 in finishing 31st.

Anna Pool, looking to become the first golfer, male or female, in Southeast Kansas League history to win four golf championships, shot 38-38--76 in winning by 11 strokes.

Ashton Williams and Courtney Williams played Monday. They were part of a six-person junior varsity nine-hole tournament that was held simultaneously with Uniontown's varsity meet. Williams finished third with a 73 and Williams was sixth at 78. Kaitlynn Sampson of Uniontown shot 63 to win.
