Lawrence E. (Ed) Hunt

Lawrence E. (Ed) Hunt, 61, of Neodesha, Kan., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.

Cremation has taken place with Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at the Fort Scott National Cemetery.

Ed was born on March 19, 1954 in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Lawrence E. (Bud) and Roberta (Pryor) Hunt.

He married Ada (Shotton) Hunt in Nov. 1974, they later divorced. He then married Betty K. Lockridge on July 6, 1979, she survives of the home.

He is survived by his children; Tami Woldum, Neodesha, Kan., Lawrence E. (Trey) Hunt III and wife Shelley, Fort Scott, Kan., Melinda Johnson and husband Jason, Altoona, Kan., Step-daughter Kim (Shotton) Schamburg, Cedar Hill, Mo., seven grandchildren; Sunne Woldum, Rainie Woldum, Mikel Woldum, Samantha Hunt, Jordan Johnson, McKenzie Johnson, Logan Johnson, one great-grandson Braxtyn Woldum, two sisters; Rebecca (Becky) Moerer and Cathy Bowman, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Melissa Moerer.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the Fort Scott National Wreath Fund and can be left with the funeral home.
