Fort Scott places six on softball list

Four members of Fort Scott High School's league-champion softball team were named to the All-Southeast Kansas League First Team and two more earned Second Team spots in voting released Monday.
Seniors Kyenne Wade and Abi Keating, juniot Katie Gorman and sophomore Taylor Krokroskia were Fort Scott's representatives on the First Team. Wade was the Tigers' pitcher, Keating played third base, Gorman in the middle infield positions and Krokroskia in the outfield.
Three from Independence, pitcher Bayley Allison, infielder Hannah Burnett and utility player Sierra Marquez, were also chosen. Sarah Methvin and Sierra Thompson were the picks from Chanute. Madison Vogel and Caitlyn Burdick were the choices from Pittsburg. Taya Leech represents Labette County, Katherine Stringer was Coffeyville's choice and Parsons' Bridget Dunlay rounds out the First Team.
Junior infielder Bailie Brown and freshman catcher Aubrey Ard were picked to the Second Team for Fort Scott. The other picks are Independence pitcher-infielder Shelby Corn and infielder Courtney Day, Chanute's Kellie Thompson and Ashlyn Stipp, Pittsburg's Reagan Rink and Abby Harris, Labette County's Sierra Wilson and Hailey Nalley, Coffeyville's Bailey Naden and Parsons' Kinzie Brownewell.
