Two 'Hounds make All-KJCCC softball team

Two players from Fort Scott Community College's softball team were recently honored with spots on the All-Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division team.

Sophomore pitcher Kaylee Bart was chosen to the First Team for the Greyhounds. She had an 11-10 record this season with a 2.97 earned-run average. She walked 44 and struck out 131 batters in 146 1/3 innings this season.

Sophomore first baseman Christa Merriman was picked to the Honorable Mention list. Merriman had a .374 batting average this season. She had 49 hits, six of which were doubles. She hit one home run, drove in 18 runs and stole 17 bases. She only struck out twice all season.
