William "Bill" Adams

William "Bill" Adams was born in Butler, Mo., on Jan. 5, 1954 to Thomas and Minnie Adams. He passed away on April 19, 2015 in Fort Scott, Kan., surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Willa, and their children, LaToya, Bryan, Tyson, Thomas and William M. Adams. He is also survived by son, William L. Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, William L. Adams, Jr., and brothers, Leonard Burton and T.J. Adams and his nephew and niece, Carl Adams and Latonya Cooper.

Bill grew up in Butler and has five surviving brothers: Richard, Larry, Gary, Robert and Rick Adams, as well as 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bill enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He enjoyed music, sports and treating the kids in his life and his grandkids with lots of candy and love.

Bill had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. Prior to his illnesses and death, he was in the U.S. Army and then was gainfully employed all of his adult life until no longer able to do so.

His Celebration of Life will be held at the Mullinax Funeral Home in Butler, Mo., on April 25 at 2 p.m., with visitation at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be given in his memory to the American Lung Association.
