Mary Alice Wescoat

Mary Alice Wescoat, 93, of Fort Scott, died Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015 at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1921 in Hiattville, Kan., and was the daughter of Jay and Gracie Marie Cnzial (Koppa) Phillips. She married Clifferd Wescoat March 29, 1938 in Girard, Kan., and He preceded her in death April 11, 1985.

Survivors include her son James Albert Wescoat and wife Darlene of Hanford, Calif.; brothers Dee Ward of Pittsburg, Kan.; and Murrel Phillips of Baldwin City, Kan., a sister Alpha Swaim of Webb City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Susan Borges and husband Johnny, and Steve Wescoat and wife Melissa; five great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Clifferd, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Harold Frances Wescoat.

Pastor Don Flanner will conduct funeral services for Mary at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Hiattville Cemetery.
