Coffeyville (6-16 East, 10-16 Region VI, 15-26 overall) scored one run in the fifth inning on an error, a single and a passed ball, all with 2 out. Mikayla Zielinkski hit a solo home run leading off the sixth to make it 2-0. Sarah Morrison scored later in the inning on a sacrifice fly.

Fort Scott (5-16, 9-16, 21-25) had two runners on with one out in the sixth but couldn't get either home. Kalee Ewbank doubled leading off the bottom of the seventh and K.C.
