Edith Arlene Hawkins (nee Mitchell), April 11, 2015, Martinez, Calif., resident.

Edith was born in Mulberry, Kan., Jan. 26, 1934 and grew up in Fort Scott, Kan. She moved to California in 1960. She is survived by her loving family, daughters Beverley Forrest and Wilma Hawkins (Patrice); grandchildren, Sebastian Paulson (Lindsey), Wesley Paulson (Krista) and Brooke Vance; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Damien, Wyatt, Noelle and Sean; her brothers Dean (Effie) and Ben (Pat) Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Allen, and son-in-law Bill.

She was a member and officer in the IOOF Rebekahs for years. She enjoyed playing bocce, sewing and quilting and the antics of her family.
