Ethel Loretta Long

Ethel Loretta Long, age 74, died March 31, 2015 at a Fort Smith Hospital.

She was born Dec. 8, 1940 on a farm near Fulton, Kan., to Lola White Taylor and Howard L. Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joe and Howard Taylor and two sisters, Mary Long and Merita Belk.

Ethel married Burt Long. He died in 1990. They had six children, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors are one brother, Bill Taylor of Arcadia, and six sisters, Betty Payne of Arcadia, Florence Karnes, Edna Sowder, Barbara Underwood, of Fort Scott, Donna Thomas of Wagoner and Shirley Driscoll of Denver, Colo.

Ethel was cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Shefield Cemetery in Arcadia.
