The rodeo, held Saturday and Sunday, drew 533 entries, with 105 kids and their families traveling to Fort Scott from Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Arkansas. This was the inaugural rodeo for SEKLBR.

"For our first rodeo, we were happy with the weekend," Marcy Pouty, SEKLBR secretary said. "We've got a lot of good parents and good kids."

She said she hopes another rodeo can be scheduled in the fall at Fort Scott.
