Robert Lee Tate
Palmer, Alaska, resident, Robert Lee Tate, 72, formerly of Mexico, Mo., and Fort Scott, Kan., passed away in Anchorage, Alaska, on Jan. 28, 2015.
Funeral Services were held on Feb. 4, 2015 at the Skyline Family Fellowship at 18239 N. Eagle River Loop Rd, Eagle River, Alaska. His children will spread his ashes in a private ceremony at a later date.
Robert was born on Oct. 20, 1942 in Mexico, Mo., to Omar and Betty (Tanner) Tate. After attending grade school in Mexico, Mo., he went to high school at Fort Scott Bible School where he met and later married Donna Faye Reynolds on Oct. 30, 1965. Robert graduated from Kansas College and Bible School in Overland Park, Kan. In 1978 they moved to Palmer and became residents of Alaska. Robert was self-employed in construction, but always served the Lord first. He loved his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Omar Leo Tate Sr., his son Seth Tate, and his two sisters Patty Tate and Bessie Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Faye (Reynolds) Tate of Palmer, Alaska; sons, Lee Tate and Royce Tate both of Palmer, Alaska, and David Tate of Fairbanks, Alaska; his mother, Betty Tate of Climax Springs, Mo.; sisters, Elaine and Sherwood Craghead of Centralia, Mo., Wanita Tate of Fort Scott, Kan., Rebecca and Gene Jaynes of Fort Scott, Kan.; his two brothers, Omar and Edna Tate of Climax Springs, Mo., and brother, Ian and Cathy Tate of Galena, Kan. Robert also left behind 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory.
