Braden Shelton has advanced to the State level in the 14 year old division of the Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Contest after winning regional competition in Chanute on February 15. Shelton, an eighth grader at Fort Scott Middle School, made 23 out of 25 shots to win the contest after having previously won at council and district levels. Boys and girls ages 9-14 were represented with approximately 80 competitors from seven Kansas districts vying for a spot at State.
This is the fifth and final year Shelton is eligible to compete and his third trip to State hoop shoot competitions. (Submitted photo)
