George Ulissis Geddry

George Ulissis Geddry, 41, of Fort Scott, died at Mercy Hospital Friday evening, Feb. 13, 2015. He was born Nov. 13, 1973 in Emporia, Kan., the son of Michael Thomas and Johanna Belle (Zabriskie) Geddry. He married Lucia Pearl Gould May 27, 2000 in Shingleton, Mich.

He is survived by his wife, Lucia; a daughter, Casie Dawn Geddry, and a son, Christopher Geddry, all of the home; a step-son, Terry Ray Tufnell of Fort Scott; his Father, Michael Geddry of Santa Maria, Calif.; his mother, Johanna Zabriskie of Emporia, Kan.; three brothers, Steve Geddry of Iola, Kan., Shane Geddry of Harris County, Texas, and Michael Thomas Geddry, Jr. of East Debuke, Ill.; two aunts, Kimberly Zabriskie of Hartford, Kan., and Kelly Zabriskie of Lebo, Kan.; three uncles, David, Johnny Lee, and Daniel Zabriskie, and his cousins, Heather Hanks, Shawn Zabriskie, Christina DeMotte, Edward Johnson, John Wilson, Joey Atchison, and Justin Atchison. He was preceded in death by a son, Connor Geddry who died in 2006, a cousin, Jeremiah Atchison, and grandparents, John and Ruth Zabriskie.

Pastor Stephen Sweyko will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial following at the Farlington Cemetery, under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the George Geddry Memorial Fund or Casie and Christopher Geddry Education Fund and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
