Nevada wins 8th-grade 'A' game
NEVADA -- Nevada won the eighth-grade boys "A" game here Monday night, building a 12-5 lead after one quarter and making it stand up.
Although Fort Scott got within 16-12 at the half, Nevada pulled away again by outscoring the Tigers 11-4 in the third.
Carter Goldston scored 15 points for the Tigers. Matt Thompson led Nevada with 17, 10 in the fourth quarter.
The score of the "B" game was not available.
Fort Scott goes back into action today at Chanute.
